Apartheid was a political and social system in South Africa while it was under white minority rule. This was in the 20th century from 1948 to 1994 . Racial segregation had been used for centuries but the new policy started in 1948 was stricter and more systematic.

It was a racial discrimination between white ,black and coloured people on the basis of skin colour.

•There was separate areas for blacks and white to work ,blacks were forced to live in dark areas.

•Only certain blacks were allowed to work in white areas who had the permission

•The blacks were not allowed to
enter in buses, park , movie, theatre.

Those who opposed to this system were sentence to treason.
