Archimedes' principle states that the upward buoyant force that is exerted on a body immersed in a fluid, whether fully or partially submerged, is equal to the weight of the fluid that the body displaces and acts in the upward direction at the center of mass of the displaced fluid.

Hello!
Here is your answer

ARCHIMEDES PRINCIPLE

STORY:
One day a king wanted to make a Crown for himself with lots of pure gold. So he called the most talented goldsmith and ordered him to make a crown. The king provided the goldsmith with enormous amount of gold and ordered him to make a crown with it. The goldsmith took about 4 - 5 months to do it and finally he finished it. He gave it to the king. The king doubted that the goldsmith used all the gold the king gave or not. He asked this to his ministers. ARCHIMEDES being one one of his ministers took the responsibility of solving this question..

Archimedes did a experiment He filled a bucket with water and immersed the . He found that some water displaced from the bucket........ He ran shouting " EUREKA I FOUND IT" . And by this method the goldsmith was found guilty and he was arrested.

Archimedes said that the volume of displaced water from the bucket is equal to the volume of the gold.
