"Article 370" of the "Indian Constitution" gives a "special status" to the state of "Jammu and Kashmir".

Explanation:

It allows the state to have a separate constitution, a different state flag, and an autonomy over the "administration of the state".  The state would not be answerable to the "Indian government" in matters related to the governance, finance, and administration. This special status of Kashmir was revoked by the "government of India" in "August, 2019", through a "presidential order" followed by a "passage of a resolution" in the parliament.
