Astigmatism -

It is the condition in which cornea or lens is curved unequally in different directions. This causes in the formation of distorted image,i.e., image of some parts is formed in front and of some part is formed behind the retina.

Cataract -

It is the condition in which lens becomes partially or completely opaque due to ageing process. A cataract forms because the lens is sealed in a capsule and as old cells die they get trapped in the capsule. As the aging occurs with time, this causes a clouding over the lens. This clouding results in blurred images.
