♎Bicameral literally means 'two-Chamber'. A bicameral parliament is one that contains two separate assemblies who must both agree when new laws are made.

✴The bicameral system originated in England, and the U.S. adopted that system upon its founding. 

♎In our Country, India, in the two houses of teh parliament are Lok sabha(lower house) and Rajya Sabha(upper house).

✴At the State level, the equivalent of the Lok Sabha is the Vidhan Sabha (Legislative Assembly), and that of the Rajya Sabha is the Vidhan Parishad (Legislative Council).

♎Six Indian states,Andra Pradesh, Telengana, Karnataka, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Maharastra have bicameral legislatures, in thse the upper house ins known as State legislative council(Vidhan parishad), one third of whose members are selected in every two years.
