Blood pressure :

  • The force of blood pushing against the wall of arteries is known as blood pressure.

➠ Normal blood pressure is less than 120/80 mmHg.

➠ Blood pressure is measured by sphygmometer.

➠ Blood pressure which is too low is called hypotension.

➠ There are two types of blood pressure :

  1. Systolic blood pressure.
  2. Diastolic blood pressure.

Importance of blood pressure :

➠ Blood pressure helps in the transport of the white blood cells (WBC) in the body.

➠ It transports the nutrients and some other useful materials to the main organ of the body like heart, kidneys and brains etc.
