 buoyancy ( also known as upthrust) is an upward force exerted by a fluid that opposes the weight of an immersed object.

 According to the principle of Archimedes, when a solid is placed in a fluid (a liquid or a gas), it is subject to an upward force equal in magnitude to the weight of the fluid it has displaced.

if any object Holly or partially immersed in liquid it feel a up thrust force called buyout force and it's also know as buoyancy.
