Buoyancy:
The tendency of a liquid to exert an upward force on an object placed in it is called buoyancy.
Even the gases exhibit the property of buoyancy.
The object appears to be less heavy when submerged in water then they are in air due to buoyant force.
Every liquid exerts an upward force on the object immersed in it.
This upward force is called buoyant force.

Gases also exhibit this property of buoyancy.
Buoyant force is an upward force which acts on a object when it is immersed in a liquid. It is also called upthrust.
It is the buoyant force due to which heavy object seems to be lighter in water. As we lower and object into a liquid, the liquid underneath it, provides an award force.
