From producer to Consumer, there are several intermediaries involved.
1: Producer - Entity which actually use the raw material and create or produce a product or goods. For example: Coca Cola
2: Wholesalers - Entity which buys the product or goods in very large quantities and then provide the same in smaller quantities to others. For example, Coca cola state or district level suppliers
3 - Retailers - This is the layer or entity from which we as a customer buy the product or goods from. For example, movie theater, grocery store etc.
There are many instances where people/consumer directly buy from wholesalers.
Also, there has been a new model in existence, where producer directly sells their product via Independent Business Owners who sort of work as salesman and sell the product that are bought directly from producer. This is called as Direct Selling.
