the different things present inside the cell ,which perform several functions are known as cell organelle.for example : 
1)  nucleus is the main organelle which controls all the activities of the cell
2)  mitochondria is used for energy production and storage if food in the form of atp.
3)  golgi apparatus is used for packaging and modification of food.
