what do you mean by conservative force ? Give two examples.
Answers
Answer:
Conservative forces are those for which work done depends only on initial and final points.
Example- Gravitational force, Electrostatic force.
Oh it's too simple dear
Actually forces associated with conservative force fields are called conservative forces
Only it is defined by physicians and not any actual concept in real world
Any force field which performs no work or does zero net work on a particle moving in the force field on a closed path
Example of conservative force fields are :-
(1)Gravitational field
(2)Spring mass systems
(3)Electric field
(4)Magnetic field
(5)Elastic force fields like in an elastic string
Only two things are important to note :-
(1)conservative force always associate potential energy with them
No other force or non conservative force like friction associates potential energy
(2)work done depends on initial and final position of particle
(3)work done in closed path is always zero
