corrosion is a process of destruction of metal due to interaction of metal in atmosphere or environment this cause corrosion.



corrosion take place on when the Metals exposed to air


when the upper layer of metal get corroded then the inner surface of metal get exposed and corrosion continue till the certain death.



the process of corrosion is continuously when the metal is kept in environment .


following are the condition that require corrosion to take place :-


corrosion take place in the presence of oxygen or air.



the rate of corrosion is increased by presence of electrolyte in water.




corrosion damage the structure made of iron such as Bridge , iron railings ships etc.




corrosion is a very serious problem in industries because it corroded the technology in the industries.

corrosion is prevented by painting the surface



corrosion is also prevented by oiling , greasing



it can also be prevented by depositing a layer of zinc and chromium .
