Deforestation is a term given to Cutting down of trees on a large scale for a specific cause. It is usually banned by government. It leads to increase in pollution level due to the excess release of Carbondioxide which is a green house gas.

Deforestation is nothing but cutting of trees,converting forest area to cleared land.

Deforestation = de + forestation

Here 'de' means remove.

It means removing the forest area.

Deforestation leads to increasing of CO2 level and causes Global Warming.
