Destarching means removing the starch from the plant by keeping it in a room for 2 or more days but be careful that the plant don't die .
the get destarched as it is kept 48 hours in a black room as no sunlight can come in show plant used all I ts starch as it cannot do photosynthesis.

It means that the reduction of starch from the leaves of plant when keep in dark place
