DIELECTRIC:-

A dielectric (or dielectric material) is an electrical insulator that can be polarized by an applied electric field. Because of dielectric polarization, positive charges are displaced in the direction of the field and negative charges shift in the opposite direction.

Examples of dielectric :-

A dielectric material is a substance that is a poor conductor of electricity, but an efficient supporter of electrostatic fields. In practice, most dielectric materials are solid. Examples include mica, glass, plastics, and the oxides of various metals.
