Diffusion: It is defined as the spontaneous movement of substances or molecules from a region of their higher concentration to lower concentration....

Osmosis : The movement of solvent from a region of its higher concentration or (lower solute concentration) to a region of its lower concentration or ( higher solute concentration )through a semi permeable membrane is called osmosis....

Diffusion don't need any membrane but osmosis need semi permeable membrane...

Diffusion occurs faster than osmosis...
