Definition

Diseaseillness of people, animals, plants, etc., caused by infection(by some bacteria/viruses) or a failure of health rather than by an accident.

SymptomA physical or mental feature which is regarded as indicating a condition of disease, particularly such a feature that is apparent to the patient.

Difference

A disease is a pathophysiological response to internal or external factors. A disorder is a disruption to regular bodily structure and function. A syndrome is a collection of signs and symptoms associated with a specific health-related cause.

When a disease manifest itself in the body it express itself by certain signs. The signs associated with certain disease are termed as disease symptoms. For example symptoms of jaundice are yellowish color of skin, nails and fever.
