➡️ Displacement reaction is a chemical reaction when two compounds react and the more reactive metal displaces (takes the place) the less reactive metal.

➡️ For example :- nickel displacing copper from copper(II) nitrate solution.

because here , nickel is more reactive and copper is less reactive so , it forms nickel nitrate and copper(II).
