The blood passes twice in the heart , this is known as double circulation.
* First the deoxygenated blood comes from the vena cavas of right to right atrium and from pulmonary veins to left atrium.
* Then systole of atriums happen , and the blood is made to flow through the ventricles ( right nd left) .
* When the systole of atriums happens the tricuspid nd bicuspid valves closes to prevent the blood to flow back again to the atriums.
*Then when the blood is flown into the ventricles , again the systole of venticles takes place.
* then the semi lunar valves closes . And the oxygenated blood from left ventrical is passed through Aorta to all parts of the body , while the de oxygenated is passed through pulmonary artery to the lungs .
* Then the diastole of heart takes place......

It is called a double circulatory system because blood passes through the heart twice per circuit. The right pump sends deoxygenated blood to the lungs where it becomes oxygenated and returns back to the heart. The left pump sends the newly oxygenated blood around the body.
