dual nature--1.wave nature 2.partical nature.

1.verification of wave character.
this was experimentally proved by Davisson and German.they studied the diffraction of electron by a sample of nickel and found diffraction patter to be similar to that produced by X rays.since X rays are confirmed to have wave nature therefore, electron must also have a wave nature associated with them. moreover, the values of wavelength obtained experiments are in agreement with those calculated value foment de broglie equation.
Thomson experiment can also be preformed to verify the wave nature of electron.in this experiment, in place of nickel crystal a thin gold foil is taken but similar diffraction pattern obtained as in the case of nickel crystal which again confirms the wave nature of electron.
2.partial nature.
it is observed that when an electron strickes a zinc sulphide screen a spot light known as scintillation is produced. moreover one electron produce only one scintillation is localised therefore the striking electron must as long be localised and not spread out like c a wave . since localised character is posted by partical therefore electron has partical nature
