The activities which add value to the national income are called economic activities. In simple language we can say that those activities which are performed for money are called economic activities.
Eg: Raw Materials and Primary Sector Jobs. Physical resources that are coaxed or extracted from the earth provide the basis for the primary sphere of economic activity.
Non-economic activity is an activity performed gladly, with the aim of providing services to others without any regard to monetary gain.
Eg: Free time activities: – They aim for at acquiring pleasure during idle times. For example: painting, and singing, etc. Family commitment activities: – These activities are dedicated and inspired by the institution of family.
