what do you mean by election commission? why is it necessary in a democracy?

election commission is the one who sees that all cadidates r contesting the election properly. It can take divisions for welfare of the country in election. Its appointed by the president but after its appointed, no one can remove them so sometimes they enjoy the freedom like judiciary. But there's an impeachment motion that needs 2/3 majority of all the Parliament members which is nearly impossible.
It is necessary in a democracy coz there should be a person to see that the candidates r contesting elections positively and don't use dirty tricks.

Election commision is the leader of electioners. He may remove and accept an electioner on the way he behaved and his decision is the last..

He is appointed by the President of India and only the President can remove him or her.
It is necessary in a democracy to have elections in free n fair manner.
