electovalent bond:-

Electrovalent bonds are produced when electrons are transferred from atoms of one element to atoms of another element, producing positive and negative ions.

The bond which is formed by the transfer of electrons between the atoms is called electrovalent bond or ionic bond.

formation of nacl and kcl:-

Sodium chloride is formed because of transfer of electrons. Thus, ionic bond is formed between sodium and chlorine.

Since, sodium chloride is formed because of ionic bond, thus it is called ionic compound. In similar way; potassium chloride (KCl) is formed.
