India has a federal constitution as it shares the power between states and the center .federalism means division of power. in India there is horizontal division of power i.e: executive ,legislature and judiciary.and there is vertical division of power i.e;sharing of power between supreme court, high court, district courts and the lower courts.
India is also quasi federal ,through:

2)single constitution
3)concurrent list
4)single citizenship
5)state's financial dependent on the center
