What do you mean by force and pressure ?

bunty553: Thus, the larger the area, for the same force, the lower the pressure. Force is the total impact of one object on another. Pressure is the ratio of force to area over which it is applied. A force is defined as a push or a pull that makes an object change its state of motion or direction.

Answer :-

  • Force :-

Force is any push or pull that is given to an object which causes accelaration in it and changes its position with respect to surrounding is called Force.

  • Force is scaler quantity.
  • Force = Mass × Acceleration
  • Forces are many of types like Contact forces or non contact , potential , spring , tension etc.
  • It can deform or reform the shape of an object
  • Can change direction of moving ball hit by the bat .
  • Always acts perpendicular in one dimension to the surface of the Object.
  • Its an form of energy
  • Work is done when an force is applied.

Pressure :-

•Pressure is an expression of force exerted on a surface per unit area, which is the applied perpendicular to the surface of any object.

• Pressure means how much something is pushing on something else.

• Pressure=Force/Area.

Types of pressure :-

•Absolute

•Atmospheric

•Differential

•Gauge Pressure.

Examples :-

pressure in breathing, hammering.
