Friction is the resistance to motion of one object moving relative to another. It is not a fundamental force, like gravity or electromagnetism. Instead, scientists believe it is the result of the electromagnetic attraction between charged particles in two touching surfaces.

Example : Sliding on a garden slide- We know that friction is a force that is present whenever two objects rub against each other. In case of a slide in the garden such as a slide and a person's backside rub each other's surface.

friction is the force that opposes the motion of a body. example when we are cycling the road applies the friction force on the body and when we left cycling the cycle automatically becomes slow and stop this is because of the frictional force applied by the road
