glandular epithelium:

  • these tissue are present in the glands
  • their main function is secretion
  • it has goblet cells which secretes mucous which is present in the mucosa layer of alimentary canal
  • it is also present with duct and secretory systems
  • eg; salivary gland, sebceous gland, sweat gland, gastric glandetc.,
  • according to the mode of pouring it is divided as paracrine(exocrine), autocrine and endocrine
  • acc. to the mode of secretion it is divided as holocrine, apocrine and merocrine
