Global warming is a long-term rise in the average temperature of the Earth's climate system, an aspect of climate change shown by temperature measurements and by multiple effects of the warming.

Hope this helps! ☺

 \huge \bold{Global \: Warming}

✴ Carbon dioxide traps heat and does not allow it to escape into space. As a result, the average temperature of Earth's atmosphere is gradually increasing. This is called global warming.

✴ Carbon dioxide consumes heat because of it's molecular structure and it doesn't release the heat into space. Since heat is being trapped, the temperature of the atmosphere on the earth increases. We call this increasing - Global Warming. This term is coined as the warming effects the earth globally.

✴ Other gases like methane, nitrous oxide and water vapour also contribute towards this effect.

✴ Human activities mostly contribute to the accumulation of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

✴ And when there is large amount of carbon dioxide there will be increase in Global Warming too.

Effects :

⭐ Global warming can cause sea levels to rise dramatically.

⭐ Global warming could result in wide ranging effects on rainfall patterns, agriculture, forests, plants and animals.

⭐ The Gangotri glacier in the Himalayas started melting due to global warming!

⭐ It can cause human emissions of greenhouse gases.

⭐ There is an effect on water supply.
