Global warming is the gradual rise in the temperature of the Earth compared to its average temperature.

Causes of the Global warming-

1. Its caused by human activities like deforestation.

2. It is also caused because of the smoke coming from the factories and from burning of the fuel and plastics and woods.

3. The vehicles emits gases like   CO_{2} which in turn pollutes the environment which promotes Global warming.

4. The electricity generated by burning coal and gas also is responsible for the harmful effects of Global warming.

Effects of Global warming-

1. It increases the average temperature of the Earth.

2. It is also responsible for the irregular seasonal changes.

3. The glacier are melting which may result in dangerous floods.

4. There is a depletion in the level of oxygen( O_{2} ). As there would be more CO_{2} but there would be less trees to provide us with oxygen.

5. It leads to the decline of many animal and plant species.

6. The natural disasters are likely to have become stronger.

7. It also leads to the spread in many diseases.

8. It also causes a major threat for the polar or aquatic animals.

But it has one and only good effect of its own and that is , it provides us with the beautiful sights on the polar regions.
