A stack of small flat sacs formed by membranes inside the cell's cytoplasm (gel-like fluid). The Golgi body prepares proteins and lipid (fat) molecules for use in other places inside and outside the cell. The Golgi body is a cell organelle.

  • The Golgi body is a part of the cell made up of membranes of various sorts.
  • Tubules and vesicles coexist in the body.
  • Near the nucleus, the Golgi is found. A perinuclear body is what it's called, and it's located near the endoplasmic reticulum.
  • When proteins leave the endoplasmic reticulum, they are transported to the Golgi, where they are further processed.
  • Carbohydrates, for example, are attached to certain proteins, and then these glycoproteins.
  • which include both carbohydrate and protein—move out of the Golgi and into the remainder of the cell. They do it within other vesicles as well.
