- The Golgi body is a part of the cell made up of membranes of various sorts.
- Tubules and vesicles coexist in the body.
- Near the nucleus, the Golgi is found. A perinuclear body is what it's called, and it's located near the endoplasmic reticulum.
- When proteins leave the endoplasmic reticulum, they are transported to the Golgi, where they are further processed.
- Carbohydrates, for example, are attached to certain proteins, and then these glycoproteins.
- which include both carbohydrate and protein—move out of the Golgi and into the remainder of the cell. They do it within other vesicles as well.
