It is the series of organic compounds with similar general formula and any 2 adjacent member of which differ by -CH2 group/14u.eg alkanes ,alkene,ketones Explanation:- alkane group(methane CH4) and (ethane C2H6) differ by -CH2 group and also have the same general formula i.e CnH2n+2.
