The plant that derives it's nutrition is called as a parasite. The plant from which the parasite derives it's nutrition is called the host. Examples of parasitic plants are Visita and Rafflesia.

Cuscuta is a pale yellow twining plant often seen on tree tops.It absorbs it's nutrients from the tree by using certain special roots.Rafflesia is found in forests of Malaysia.
