Humidity is a measure of the amount of water vapor in the air. Relative humidity measures the amount of water in the air in relation to the maximum amount of water vapor (moisture). The higher the temperature, the more water vapor the air can hold.

Humidity refers to the  moisture content of the air. It determines the formation of clouds, dew and fog. It affects the land organisms by regulating the loss of water as vapour from their bodies through evaporation, perspiration and transpiration. Both animals and plants suitable adaptations to the humidity of the aur in theenvironment.

Some adapted to live in forest where humidity is very high, others are suited to inhibit deserts where humidity is very low, and many hackers in places having intermediate humidity.

Humidity affects animal life indirectly also by influencing plant life. Higher humidity produces more vegetation, which supports more animal life.
