In 1923, in Germany the prices of goods soared incredibly high. This was known as hyperinflation.

Reasons :
In 1923, Germany refused to pay war reparations and the French occupied their leading industrial region, Ruhr. Germany retaliated with passive resistance and printed paper currency recklessly. With two much currency in circulation, the prices of goods soared. This led to hyperinflation.
