I) Certain provisions of the constitution can be amended by a simple majority in Parliament .(Flexible)

ll) Certain provisions can be amended by a two - third majority in Parliament and ratified by at least 50 percent of the states. (Rigid) .

lll) The remaining provisions can be amended by Parliament by two -third majority. (Rigid) .
