What do you mean by interchanging of state of the matter? What are the factors affecting it and how do they do that? Please explain.

When one state of matter is changed to another state of matter, it is known as interchanging of states of matter.

The temperature affects this. When the solid is put in heat, the tightly packed particles gain kinetic energy and start moving. They move away from each other and form a liquid.
