interphase aka the resting or preparatory phase of cell is the time when a cell replicates its dna and all other division necessary organelles like centrioles etc. and prepares for division. a cell spends most of its time in interphase
interphase is divided in 3 sub phases 1. G1 aka growth 1st phase
2. S phase aka synthesis phase
3. G2 phase.
