Lens aberration is used to refer to a defect present in the lens that results in the light which falls on the lens not getting focused on a specific point. Instead, the light is spread over a white area. Because of this, the lens forms an image that is either blurred or distorted. There are many kinds of lens aberration. To solve this problem, one can use proper lens coating or a high quality glass for the lens.
