The menopause happens at around middle age in women. It is a time when fertility ends due to depletion of ovum and menstruation ceases. It is a very difficult time, dropping hormones cause many problems and hormone replacement therapy may be used to lessen some of the more distressing symptoms. Once a woman hasn’t had a period for over a year she is considered post menopausal
