When a girl reaches puberty her ovaries start maturing and produce mature ova. This ova waits in the fallopian tube for the sperm for nearly 5 to 6 days. During this period the uterus prepares it self to the receive the fertilized ova(if fertilization occurs)by making a thin layer of blood vessels. But if fertilisation doesnot occurs then the egg disintigrates and the lining of blood vessels shed off. This results in a flow of blood from the females vagina. This lasts nearly for a week. The first menstrual flow is called menarche. This flow stops at the age of 45 when a women becomes incapable of reproduction. It is called menopause .....
