if the ovum is not fertilized by a sperm,it is expelled from the uterus along with some blood and uterine muscles.this is called menstruation.
the period in which the foetus stays inside a mother's womb is called sexual reproductive phase.
it begins when egg is fertilized by sperm and zygote is formed.
