MGNREGA is an act that has been implemented by the central govt. of India to promote right to work in about 625 districts of India.

It's full form in Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act 2005.

MGNREGA act 2005 ensures that anyone who is need of and is able to do work is given 100 days of employment by the govt.

If the govt. fails in it's duty to provide employment that it will give unemployment allowances to the people.

This act is especially important for the rural people since it helps in employment generation for them.
