\bold{MOLE\: :} Mole means the amount of substance containing particles equal to Avogadro's number, i.e., 6.022 × 10²³. The mass of substance containing the same number of fundamental units as there are atoms in exactly 12.000 g of ¹²C is also termed as "MOLE''. SO, 1 mole = 6.022×0²³ particles. These particles can be atoms, molecules, ions, etc.

\bold{SOLUTION\:TO\:NUMERICAL :}

______________________________

Molecular mass of CO2 = 44g.

We can also say that,

44 g of CO2 represents 1 mole.

20 g of CO2 represents (20/44) mole or 0.45 mole (approximately).
