Auxin is a plant harmone which is responsible for the growth of shoot tips and formation of root nodules in stem cuttings.
It can be of 2 types --natural and synthesized.
Natural-- which are present in plants naturally
eg.-- IAA(Indole 3 acetic acid) and IBA (indole 3 butyric acid)
synthesized--which are synthesized artificially
eg.--2,4-D
