What do you mean by “near point” and “far point” of an eye ? What are their values for a normal human eye ? Show with the help of a ray diagram the position of the image on an object when kept at : a) 25cm from an eye . b) At infinity from an eye.

The near point of the eye is the minimum distance of the object from the eye, which can be seen distinctly without strain. The far point of the eye is the maximum distance to which the eye can see the objects clearly.The near point value for the normal human eye is 25cm i.e.they can see the object maximum 25 cm far from the eye. The far point of the human eye is infinite i.e. they see at the infinite distance.
