Money bill - Money bill can only be introduced in the Lok Sabha. After it is passed by the Lok Sabha, it is sent to the Rajya Sabha which can hold it upto 14 days.If not rejected by the Rajya Sabha or the 14 days period lapses or its recommendation is not accepted by the Rajya Sabha, the bill is considered passed. The budget is an example of the money bill.It is presented in the Lok Sabha by the finance minister is the name of the President of India.
Ordinary bill- This bill can be presented in any of the houses. After it is passed by one houses it is sent to the other house where it may be kept for a maximum period of 6 months. If the bill is passed the recommendation made by the one house is acceptable to the other house, it is considered passed. Otherwise there may be three situations:
1) The other house rejects the bill.
2) The recommendation made by the second house is not acceptable to the presenting house.
3) The period of 6 months has lapsed without any action by the second house.
