what do you mean by parasite?

Parasite is an organism which lives in or on another organism (its host) and benefits by deriving nutrients at the other's expense.

parasite can be any organism that establishes a non symbiotic relationship with the host and it usually causes diseases and also completely relies on the host for its food.
