active transport uses energy and passive transport does not need any energy in the form of ATP .

( From low to high) .

passive transport

Passive transport is transfer of substance without the use of energy in the favour of concentration gradient ( high to low ).

Answer: Passive transport is a movement of irons and other atomic molecular substances across cell membranes without need of energy input. Unlike active transport, it does not require an input of cellular energy because it is steady driven by the tendency of the system to grow in entropy
