The function that repeats it's value in every intervals is called periodic function in Mathematics.
The most important examples are thetrigonometric functions, which repeat over intervals of 2π radians.
The three basic trigonometric functions haveperiods as demonstrated below: Sine function-> period is 2π radians or 360°. Cosinefunction -> period is 2π radians or 360°. Tangent function -> period is πradians or 180°.

period of function means repeatation of same value or same graph when it is drawn after certain interval that certain value where repeatation starts is called period of function
