when petiol expands became green and starts synthesise food then we called it as phyllode

Phyllode is a leaf petiole which becomes leaf like and perform the function of leaf.

  • Examples include Acacia auriculiformis Acacia mangium, Parkinsonia aculeata etc. Cladode is a phylloclade with one or two internodes only.✍
